Recommended zebrafish courses at Karolinska Institutet

We encourage you to explore the courses offered by the Zebrafish Core Facility at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm. The training is intended for researchers, veterinarians and technical staff working with zebrafish.

The upcoming courses include:

Advanced Zebrafish Husbandry Course, 9–11 November 2026 – an intensive course covering zebrafish husbandry and breeding, nursery management, surgical and aquatic techniques, biosafety, rotifer culture and more;

Responsible Aquatic Animal Research, 12–13 November 2026 – a new course focusing on responsible research involving aquatic animals.

The facility also offers training in laboratory animal science for researchers conducting procedures on zebrafish, as well as practical courses in cryopreservation and in vitro fertilisation, and aquatic technology.

We particularly recommend these courses to anyone interested in developing practical skills in zebrafish husbandry and research.
